One Young World

Ben & Jerry's has signed on to sponsor the Inaugural Summit of One Young World in London from February 8th-10th, sending five of our finest employees to attend.

As a global platform of young people, it will give them the opportunity to associate themselves with a very future-facing, socially-aware event, and allow them to contribute those learnings back into the every-day business of our company. Keep an eye on the Twitter feed for their accounts of this amazing experience!

She also organizes Project Joy, a team that gives holiday gifts to underserved communities.

Nicholas graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in business in 2007. As a marketing coordinator for Ben & Jerry's, he has worked on social responsibility projects such as a traveling campaign that brought attention to U.S. federal budget priorities, specifically the imbalance of funding for defense initiatives over childhood development programs. Another campaign, done in conjunction with the band Guster, educated concertgoers about easy ways to reduce their carbon footprint.

Antonio McBroom, franchisee and educator, US

Antonio, a mathematics major from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, graduated in 2008. He began working for Ben & Jerry's in college and now has a financial stake in the company. He has had to overcome great personal challenges, and with every success he has given back to those closest to him. He's glad for the support his company gives to community nonprofits aimed at helping needy and underserved populations.

Stephanie Page - Brand Exec. Ben & Jerry's, UK

Stephanie studied the globality of modern society and the impacts that a global actions have on a global world while in University. This external orientation has stayed with her and has proved invaluable in her career, working for a global company, Ben & Jerry’s. As well as creating joy for ice cream lovers, Ben & Jerry's tries to ensure that farmers and the people that help create ice cream euphoria, get a fair deal too. She is currently working on several programs, all with the specific aim of trying to give back to the community and to the environment. She has a passion and commitment to making a difference to the future and enjoys facing the challenges that this brings.

Clara Casanova - Brand Exec. Ben & Jerry's, Spain

If there is something Clara has learned in 25 years, is that there is always something we can do. As a child she remembers wanting to take a blanket to a homeless person, but was too little to cross the street alone. In high school, she learned that there were millions of children in South America that needed to be taught to read, but was still too young to travel the world. Once attending University, she decided to go to Guatemala and cooperate on a project and put into practice all she had learned in 5 years of studies. Now, working for Ben & Jerry’s gives her the opportunity to meet courageous and revolutionary people, or just other anonymous dreamful young ladies like herself. She believes that everyone’s small actions can make a big differences.
